I don’t go out on Black Friday. In fact, I am so adverse to fighting the crowds that I’ve made the day after Thanksgiving a little party at our house, just in case my older daughter gets the notion she might want to try the mall.

I stock up on Wii games, popcorn, DVD’s, and we each get to choose one new pair of “comfortable clothes” to spend the day in (like yoga pants or jammies). Basically, it’s an excuse for us to be lazy and eat stuff I wouldn’t normally have in the house.

So far, so good.

But now that we have the baby, we need to think about shopping the toy deals on Black Friday – blech. Thankfully, Toys ‘R Us has extended its door buster deals through 10PM tonight. Considering what some of those deals are (see the ad right here), I may consider sneaking out after the baby is down for the night.

If you’re like me and hate the crowds, wait until most people are already exhausted and home for the night; head out to Toys ‘R Us later this evening.

Apparently, Black Friday sales are so popular now that they are starting them in Canada, even though they have their Thanksgiving in October!

    Time to get shopping!

This is great, but dont hink you can avoid the crowds a day later at Toys R Us. I’ll be there for one, with a loaded shopping cart, hopefully. So the lines will be long, oh yes.

I don’t know. I suspect lines will be long all season……another reason to shop Cyber Monday!!
