If you’ve been following my Tweets @smartmomdeals, you know I’ve been at the mall since 1am this morning. And though I’ve now been up since 5am yesterday, I’m still hanging on. Though I’d say I’ll be in bed by about 5pm tonight.

At any rate, the deals were good, but not spectacular. In fact, I’d say that you could get nearly the same deals online, without all the fuss and crowds. But if you enjoy that sort of thing, then by all means, have at it.

However, if you are staying home today, it may be worth taking a peek at this Living Social deal for ShopRunner.

This is a service that you shop “thru” so to speak — meaning you start at the ShopRunner website and then shop at participating stores which include Lord & Taylor, Toys/Babies ‘R Us, eToys.com, Radio Shack, eBags.com, Drugstore.com and others. As a member of ShopRunner, you’re entitled to free 2-day shipping on all your orders — regardless of the size.

Normally this membership is $79, but Living Social is selling it for just $30. THEN, when the membership is activated and a purchase is made through the site by 12/31, you’ll get a $20 American Express gift card! So you’re basically paying $10 for the membership! That’s huge!!

I rely a lot on the Amazon 2-day shipping and especially given that we are coming into the holiday season, I am always on the lookout for free/cheap shipping.

Check out the Living Social Deal — it’s good for two more days!
