If you have toddlers and an iPad (or really, any tablet computer), you know that they love to play with electronics. It seems RetroKids has come up with a product that mimics the tablet, without being a tablet.

This electronic device promises to keep your kid entertained with games about letter, numbers and spelling as well as colors, words and animal names.

It runs on (3) AAA batteries and is “unbreakable,” meaning it has no glass, is shatterproof and lightweight.

I don’t have any personal experience with this product, but through the Living Social deal going on right now, it’s only $25 (original retail is $69). At that price, I’m wondering if it’s worth giving it a go. It sure beats letting Ella tote the iPad around (even if she is using it in the iGuy).

I’m interested to hear from readers that have used this product; is it worth $25?

I was trying to find out if this product is any good also. How many games are on it? My 4 year old daughter already knows all her abc’s upper & lower case so would this toy not be worth purchasing for her or are there still alot more other type of games to play? Hopefully someone has bought this toy & can give us some input on it :)

I bought this from living social for $25. It shipped from Hong Kong and looks used. I was really excited to get this for my 4 year old because she loves playing games on my ipad, but I didn’t always want her using it. It looks cheaply made and I have yet to put batteries in it. It is nothing like I expected. There is no screen to interact with. It’s just push buttons on a piece of plastic used as a cover.

I purchased this for my granddaughter who just turned 3 in September for Christmas and the box it was in (not shipment box) is not in good shape and it is so cheaply made I am returning it.This toy would not last no time at all before it was broke. I bought it through Living Social and there was not any paperwork with it. I will find out how to return the product and see how Living Social handles returns.

I bought this from the LivingSocial deal for $25 and I paid waaaay too much for it. This is nothing like what I expected. Shipped from Hong Kong, cheap plastic, bad sound and CHEAP! I am not happy with the tablet but it took 6 weeks to receive it, so I am not even going through with returning it. It was going to be a christmas present but instead I’m just giving it to my son.

OMG, I could have written this review! I feel the EXACT same way!!! It’s WAY cheap. It took forever to get it. I wanted to return it, but it’s too much of a hassle. I’m giving it as a gift too…but maybe I’ll add something else with it.

Don’t buy!!! Very cheaply made and website is misleading. Not a touchscreen at all. Will never buy anything from this website again.

I’ll never buy from it again either. It’s definitely not a TOUCH screen as we know it. It’s plastic that you push down on.

This is a HORRIBLE toy. It’s VERY cheap! I got it as a LivingSocial deal and even the $25 I paid for it was WAY too much. I hate it. It took forever to get it and it sounds like a hassle to get a refund, so I’m electing to suck up the loss. I was going to give it as a Christmas gift…I may have to give that and something actually worth giving. Don’t get this. It’s cheap, plastic and boring. How come I can’t give it zero or one star?!?!?

I am with all you ladies…this is a terrible product. I purchased 2 of them and was excited to give them to my kids for Christmas but these are terrible. I am thoroughly disappointed with it and unimpressed with their return and refund policy. They make money on the fact that they know people will not hassle them to return the product especially when purchased as a “deal”. Definitely glad I did not pay the regular price for this product. Even the $32 we paid in Canada for it was WAAY too much. I have bought USED products that are in better shape than how I received this and locally purchased products from reputable companies for less that were far superior.
