Yesterday I showcased a deal featuring some educational interactive DVD games and one reader, Jenny, pointed out that not all families choose to bring electronics into their households – which I completely agree with.

As a parent, I admittedly indulged my oldest child and provided her with every electronic device available. I thought I was doing her a favor. As she enters “tweendom,” I’ve realized I did nothing of the sort.

So with the new baby, we’re avoiding electronics like the plague. Even noisy light-up toys are not welcome.

This deal on National Geographic Kids seemed quite timely given the above. And I have to admit that, even at the young age of 1, Baby L enjoys looking at the pictures in the magazine, so I feel like this particular publication spans a wide age gap.

Plum District is offering a one-year subscription plus a Putumayo Kids CD Sampler for $12; a 48% savings off of the normal price.

Of course, you only have until tonight at midnight to take advantage of the reduced price, so grab it while you can.

ding, ding, ding, we have a winner! Love this more kid-friendly version of the magazine, and the one year price is a bargain. Sold.
