How many of you are couponers? Even if you’re not hardcore about it, do you use them?

I’m not extreme by any means, but I do base my shopping trip around what’s on sale and I try to get “stock-up” stuff for the least amount possible. Because we eat a pretty clean diet, it’s hard to do that with grocery items, but I can certainly stock up on stuff like shampoo and shaving gel.

Coupons.com is one of the websites I use to print coupons from … which certainly beats the heck out of buying two newspapers each week and then storing the coupon flyers. The site itself is free to use, but you can actually buy a membership to their “Savings Club” which costs $30/year and entitles you to higher value coupons. I personally don’t subscribe, but I Love to Gossip mentioned on Facebook that the site was offering a free, one-year subscription to the Savings Club, in honor of their birthday.

All you need is coupon code BIRTHDAY at checkout. The only thing to keep in mind is that they will still take your credit card information; it’s up to you to cancel before your one-year free period is up.

When I take advantage of stuff like this, I normally set a reminder in my phone for the week before the free period is up and then cancel at that time if I’m not enjoying the service.
