Save Nearly 50% on Manhattan Toy Cuddlemats for Kids

Posted on Oct 28, 2011 by 2 Comments

Forget the kids . . . I want one of these!!

I’ve always been equally intrigued and repulsed by the idea of a bear-skin rug in the middle of a room. So these mats seem to be the perfect thing to satisfy my curiosity.

Measuring a generous 39.5″ x 10.5″ x 45″ deep, these appear to be snuggly soft and silky . . . perfect for tummy time or even a snuggly movie night with mom and dad. And that cute little head can serve as a perfect little pillow. Read more…

Save $10 on Your Purchase of $50 or More in the Big Lots Christmas Department

Posted on Oct 28, 2011 by No Comments

Please don’t hate me because I’ve mentioned the holiday twice already this week. But with snow in the forecast for tomorrow and the cold temperatures, I can’t help but start thinking about it.

Plus, while I usually feel really overwhelmed by every single calendar day that ticks by between October 31st and January 1st, I’m actually kind of looking forward to it this year.

Now, that’s not to say that my house will be decorated before Thanksgiving, because it won’t. But if I can buy a few decorations now and tuck them in a dark corner of the basement until after we devour the sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie, I might just do it. Read more…

Save on Oxo Tot Baby Food Accessories

Posted on Oct 27, 2011 by No Comments

In line with my last post about local food, I was also a big believer in making what I could for the baby. In my efforts, I used this particular baby food ricer quite frequently. Small and easy to use, it was affordable and fit the bill perfectly.

And right now, it’s clearances out for $9.99 — which, by the way, is far less than the really affordable price I purchased mine at. Read more…

Save More Than 50% on a 1-Year Membership to the Seeds of the Month Club

Posted on Oct 27, 2011 by No Comments

Local foods are one of my saving graces . . . especially when it comes to my budget. And by local I mean those coming from my nearby Farmer’s Market and my very own backyard. I also happen to be an avid canner, so I can preserve my local food goodness for all the winter months to come.

And while I don’t get all crazy about my garden planting — meaning, I have friends that spend months planning the layout of their gardens on grid paper — I do get pretty excited about getting my seeds in the ground. And I’m surprised I did not know that a “seed of the month” club existed. Read more…

The Target Online Home Sale: Save Up to 30%

Many of you that follow this blog know that I’ve been working (albeit at a snail’s pace) at getting the interior of my house renovated. A little paint here, new bedding there . . . it’s taking a while, but I’m a firm believer in paying for it all in cash.

So that means one room at a time and shopping when stuff is on sale.

Now, I typically have a pretty eclectic sense of style, which is nice because it means I can often buy off-beat stuff at consignment stores and be perfectly okay with it. Read more…
