Hilton HHonors Members Receive Points for Donating to Relief Efforts

Posted on Oct 31, 2011 by 1 Comment

I recently traveled and stayed at a Hilton . . . I normally do not sign up for travel reward programs because, frankly, we just don’t travel that much. Especially with a baby.

But now that our oldest daughter has swim meets in different states, it seemed like a decent idea. And the girl that checked me in was totally great about explaining that, even with my first 3-night stay, I was going to be ridiculously close to earning a free night. As a mom with two kids, I’m all about a free night in a hotel. Read more…

This is actually one of my favorite things about No More Rack; you never know what’s coming up. It’s sort of like getting a surprise package in the mail, every. single. day.

At any rate, I’m drooling over this studded handbag, shown above. And at 77% off, it’s coming in under $20. Boo-ya!

Not only is this perfect for me, I’m picking one up for my teenage sister too. Read more…

Have a New Books-A-Million Opening in Your Neighborhood?

Chances are, you had a Borders store in your neck of the woods. I know we did, and boy do I miss it.

And while we do have lots of locally owned bookstores that I like to browse the shelves of, being in a large bookstore with big, comfy chairs, an endless selection, and a cafe is just a whole different experience.

I’m happy to say that our locations was one of a few that will be converted to a Books-A-Million location. And believe you me, I’m stalking that location for any sign of it opening. Read more…

Mini Blackboard with Eraser for $5: Great for Dinner Out with the Kids

Posted on Oct 26, 2011 by No Comments

I’m pretty much a fan of anything that can keep my kids busy while we’re waiting for dinner at a restaurant or waiting to get in to see the pediatrician. I’m constantly picking up little trinkets to throw in the diaper bag for those types of situations.

Measuring in at 7.6″ x 4″ and coming with a mini eraser and three pieces of chalk, this is just the right size for a handbag or diaper bag. Plus, it’s got a little stand on the back so you can prop it up if you choose.

And for $5? I can probably find that much money in my couch cushions if I really look hard enough. Read more…

Save 50% on Personalized Photo Mugs

Hands down, these are one of the best gifts you can buy for grandparents.

And I don’t even just mean for the holidays . . . for whatever reason, they love getting these coffee cups with their grand babies photos on them!

Here are some tips I will give you though, because I’ve done this gift and I’ve seen what happens over time. First, be sure to use a photo that captures more than just your child’s head; if you don’t, over time, the cup starts to get a little creepy because it just looks like a faded floating head. Grab an Omaha Steaks Package for $59; Save $106!

Do you remember last holiday season when I touted the benefits of giving food as gifts? I can’t say it enough; food is the perfect gift.

My in-laws are big fans of the Omaha Steaks package that we send them every year. However, I’ve never seen a package quite this cheap.

Normally I shop through one of the rewards sites to, at the very least, get a points kickback when I do my holiday shopping. However, this particular deal is making me think twice — I might just go for it, as is. Read more…

25% Off Everything at Payless

Sometimes I go into Payless and find tons of great stuff; other times, not so much.

But I do love the bags they carry. Inexpensive and fun, it makes me feel not so bad about my handbag obsession.

I also really like the slippers they carry, which I think make fabulous holiday gifts when paired with a hand knit scarf, so I plan on using this coupon code to help start my holiday shopping at a discounted rate. Read more…
