If you’ve got back-to-school shopping to do, you know how expensive it gets!! And for the most part, kids don’t think anything of it.
Maybe it’s because they just can’t conceptualize it, maybe they really don’t care, or maybe it’s some of both.
At any rate, we sure feel it, don’t we?
If you live near a Kohl’s, you’re in luck. Because now through August 9th, for every $50 you spend, you’ll get $10 in Kohl’s cash back. Here’s a little secret. The way I typically work this sale is this: I do part of my shopping now and the rest when the Khol’s cash is valid. So, for example, we give our daughter a budget and also give her the cash (believe it or not, she’s far more frugal that way!!). She shops, keeping in mind that she should end with a $50 increment, pays for her goods, and gets her Kohl’s cash.
A week later, she heads back for the things that were not on sale the week prior, but that she really liked. She technically has extra money now to spend. So, her budget of $300 for school clothes can easily become $330 or $340 if she plays her cards right. In fact, if she spends the entire $300 in the first trip, she’s getting another $60 to spend the following week.
Pretty sweet.
